Our beds feature breathable covers and open-cell foams for refreshing ventilation. Nolah AirFoam™ and natural Talalay latex are also 100 percent temperature neutral, so they don't trap body heat like many memory foams on the market.

A split king bed consists of two twin XL mattresses placed side by side on a king-sized base. Together, the two twin XL mattresses (38 by 80 inches) equal the same dimensions as a standard king mattress (76 by 80 inches). If you have a split king adjustable base, this setup lets you adjust each side of the bed independently.

Nolah shoppers who want a split king bed have two options:

1) Once you've chosen a mattress model, select "Split King" from the size dropdown menu. Choose add-ons if desired, then add to cart. At checkout, you'll see two twin XL mattresses in your cart. We send each twin XL mattress as a separate shipment with its own tracking number.

2) Couples with different sleep preferences or support needs can order two different twin XL mattress models/firmness levels and put them together to make a split king bed. However, you'll want to choose mattresses with the same height to avoid an awkward gap. For this configuration, simply add both twin XL mattresses to your cart. We send each mattress as a separate shipment with its own tracking number.

Yes, you can use Nolah's all-foam mattresses with a Murphy bed as long as the mattress is stored in a vertical position. However, Nolah mattresses are not designed to be folded—do not use your Nolah mattress with a Murphy bed or futon that bends the mattress for compact storage.

For use with a Murphy bed, we recommend the Nolah Original 10". Before placing your order, please check your Murphy bed's specifications for compatible mattress height and weight. Most Murphy beds can accommodate mattresses from 9" to 12" tall, but compatibility varies between manufacturers and models.

Storing a mattress vertically can damage coil systems, so we do not recommend using an innerspring or hybrid mattress with a Murphy bed. You should not use the Original Hybrid, Signature Hybrid, Nolah Evolution, Nolah Evolution Comfort+, Nolah Natural, or Nolah Nurture with a Murphy bed.

All mattresses need air circulation to stay fresh. If you store your mattress in a Murphy bed most of the time, air it out every six months to extend its lifespan.
